His eyes are mesmerizing, his smiles are contagious as is his energy level!! Meet this lovely family!! It's fun to see love budding, and this family was really cute and fun! You can tell they really love each other, they laugh together, poke fun at each other, and are just all around F U N! I loved working them!! It was a hot day, but the evening turned out to be wonderful and filled with such beautiful light--the wind picked up, but it only helped to cool us all off and enjoy all the more the session!!

Wow, am I behind in blogging all my fun sessions from recently!! Up first, is this little man...not so little anymore!! I cannot believe he is TWO now!! I remember photographing him on the seat of his daddy's motorcycle, and it seems like just yesterday! I LOVE LOVE LOVE this family...they are so fun, genuine and such good friends!! My kids had tons of fun celebrating with this little guy his second birthday!! Thanks again for the invite, the kids didn't wan to leave the party!!

“BEAUTY PORTRAITS" is a contemporary style of photography geared towards women, and this month, especially for moms,because at the end of the day who is the last person mom tends to? HERSELF. That's right...I'm a mom of four, I know. I remember the days when I had the time to make myself look and feel pretty, [if you are a mom reading this] do you? However, somewhere along the journey of being a mom, your focus changes, and the responsibilities expand, and no longer is there time for the "ME" of a mom. Our time is spent caring for our children, loving on our children, helping with homework, making grocery lists, and meal plans, grocery shopping, driving kids from from here to there and back here again, preparing meals, doing endless loads of laundry, folding laundry and putting it all away, kissing boo boos,keeping the peace between the kids who seem to argue endlessly...and the list goes on and on. ...And we do this day in and day out, because at the end of the day when, in my case, my three year old leans over to me and says "mom, i got a secret...I love you mom, you are my best friend", or my 20 month plants a wet kiss on my cheek, or my 5 year old says "mom, I love you", or my 7 year old says "mom, I got the best surprise for you..." and wrapping her arms tightly around me whispers in my ear "it's just a hug'" I'm reminded that THIS is important, and that I'm doing something right. However, I am a woman and I like to look and feel pretty at times. Some days I look in the mirror and I'm surprised at the woman staring back at me...I've become a stranger to my own reflection. dark circles under the eyes, wrinkles quietly settling in around my eyes and my mouth, white blending in with my dark brown hair. Beauty is not in the hair and the makeup, beauty is within... The hair and makeup helps us FEEL pretty. Feeling pretty gives us confidence. Feeling pretty empowers us to be bold. Feeling pretty helps us to project our inner beauty outward.
